About our home

Three-bedroom, 2-bath home with a huge grassy yard. Air conditioned/central heat. Huge kitchen. Comfy sofa in the living room. Queen-size bed and separate bathroom in the large bedroom. Second bedroom is a home office, with a PC and fax/printer. Third bedroom is guest room and has a fold-out bed and a PC. We love to read; there are books throughout. Our two cats will be boarded while we're gone. Many potted plants outside (I would be grateful if they could be watered). Lots of baby/toddler toys and a crib and highchair (we have a granddaughter).
Sleep well in one of the safest cities in the U.S.

Where is it?

Our home is in a quiet suburb. The population of Thousand Oaks is 130,000, and we have all the amenities: public parks, golf courses, theatres, senior center, teen center. Thousand Oaks is about a half-hour drive to Zuma Beach or Malibu, and an hour's drive to Los Angeles, Universal Studios, LAX, or Santa Barbara. In two hours, you can be at Disneyland, in the desert, or on your way to Big Bear, in the mountains with pine trees and ski slopes.

Thousand Oaks is an upscale, uncrowded suburb with many fine shops and two shopping malls and good restaurants. Lovely, friendly people. No traffic congestion here, but you will get stuck in freeway traffic outside of Thousand Oaks, between the hours of 7-10am and 4-7pm.
