Spacious and comfortable condo offers amazing mountain views and features a fireplace in the living room for cozy gatherings on snowy winter nights. The balcony off the living area offers a wonderful vantage point to the surrounding natural beauty and overlooks Gore Creek directly below. Large windows in both the living and dining areas not only provide a scenic vista during all seasons, but when open invite in the peaceful, rippling murmurs of Gore Creek. Well equipped kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and all the necessary accoutrements for creating home cooked meals; local grocery stores are conveniently located nearby (or plan ahead and order supplies online to be delivered and waiting for you upon arrival). Three bedrooms provide comfortable accommodations with the master and attached bath on the main floor and two additional bedrooms on the lower level sharing an additional bathroom. Single car garage provides shelter for a vehicle or additional storage for ski equipment, etc.
Vail, Colorado, is home to world famous skiing in wintertime and plentiful snowfall makes skiing enthusiasts happy! Various activities are available year-round, with multiple options to suit individual tastes. Biking, rafting, hiking, fishing, golfing, shopping and dining are all easily accessible in the area. Arrival options for Vail include flights into Eagle Regional airport (approximate half hour drive) or Denver International Airport (approximate 2 hour drive). The drive from Denver is scenic and includes spectacular mountain scenery. Road conditions can vary greatly along the way and should be taken into consideration depending on time of year.
For those who choose to remain connected (or perhaps need to work a bit in this natural paradise), high speed internet and dedicated WiFi are available in the condo. An additional free community WiFi network is also available both inside and outside the condo.
To soothe away your aches from an active day of skiing or hiking or to simply relax and unwind, turn to the outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi. Located just across the parking area and visible from our home, bath towels are available for use in the clubhouse at no cost.
Hotel Talisa (formerly Vail Cascade Spa and Resort) underwent a $35 million upgrade which began Spring/Summer 2016. As part of the Resort facility, the Aria Athletic Club and Spa was included in the renovation process although it remained functional throughout. Fitness fanatics will enjoy the convenient location just two short blocks away with guest usage available for a nominal fee. This modern facility offers multiple activities including weights, cardio training, yoga and Pilates. The friendly staff is always happy to answer questions and provide additional information as needed. After working out or simply to pamper yourself, consider visiting the spa at Aria and experience signature treatments and a relaxing atmosphere. De-stress with a massage, indulge in a body treatment, spoil yourself with a facial or sit back and have your nails done. At Aria Spa, the choice is yours and mind plus body rejuvenation will follow.

California desired destinations include luxurious homes close to LA, Santa Barbara, San Diego or a yacht. All trades must be 2nd homes or have extremely flexible scheduling options for exchange of primary residence. (My home is a second home with flexible scheduling options.)
Although winter is an acclaimed time in Vail, the surrounding natural beauty affords a peaceful retreat from fast paced city life year-round! Explore the options (some thoughts below) and find the perfect vacation!
Winter activities are naturally centered around enjoyment of the plentiful snowfall that makes the area so popular for downhill and cross-country skiers. With easy access to ski lifts (one located a short 5 minute walk from the condo) and multiple ski runs, there are options for skiers of all skill levels in Vail as well as a ski school for novices. Conveniently located near ski lifts you will find ski and snowboard rental outlets, shops to supplement winter gear and restaurants to refuel your body before heading back to the slopes. Celebrity sightings are not uncommon while exploring the village or swooshing down the slopes.
At Vail, the experience extends far beyond the mountain. Vail is linked by 3 lively base areas filled with shops, bars, hot spots and world class restaurants with acclaimed chefs and cuisine. The 2 main areas for shopping, strolling and entertainment are Vail Village and Lionshead. Lionshead is a moderate walk along the paved pedestrian path running alongside the creek (and behind the condo) or continue to stroll the paths to Vail Village. Linked by pedestrian friendly heated streets, the village is a perfect place for a family stroll after skiing or a; bar-hopping night out on the town. The country’s largest free transportation system runs frequently, making it easy to access almost anywhere in the Vail area without touching your car. There is a convenient stop 2 blocks from the condo.
