Our house sits right the canals with great views throughout. It is a 3 story, 3000 sq ft home with an outdoor deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening meal right on the canals.
The first floor is designed much like a loft with a large kitchen, dining, living & entertaining areas. You'll find lots of Board games to entertain yourself with. There's also a piano for those who love playing music. Right outside is a great outdoor deck overlooking the canals. And just below the deck is a natural gas fire pit surrounded by a wonderful outdoor seating area, where you'll want to relax day and evening.
The second floor has a large multi-purpose room with a ping pong table, Nintendo Wii, crafts, games, guitars, workspace etc. There is also a couch that folds out to a full-size bed.
The third floor has a large master bedroom with a king-size bed and a deck overlooking the canals. The master bathroom has a two-headed shower and a dry sauna. Two more bedrooms on the third floor each have double-size beds. WIFI is available throughout the house. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk from the house and there is an abundance of restaurants and activities to enjoy. Feel free to use our bikes for the bike path and our boogie boards and surfboard for the ocean. There is also a Weber gas grill on the deck for you to use. If needed, we are happy to exchange one of our cars with you.
Venice is a small beach community located west of downtown Los Angeles between Santa Monica and Marina del Rey. It is unlike any place on Earth, well known for its artists, street performers and eclectic atmosphere. The beach is one of the nicest beaches in California. The Venice Canals area is one of the most unique neighborhoods in all of Southern California. The area was created in the early 1900's to replicate Venice, Italy. Great restaurants of all types are all within easy walking distance. There is a long bike path along the beach and you can get to the mountains for a beautiful day hike within a 20 minutes drive. Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Disneyland, Universal Studios, the Getty Museum, Disney Music Hall, Hollywood Bowl, LA County Museum of Art, and Catalina are close by. Venice is much cooler than the rest of the city because we are so close to the ocean. Air conditioning is rarely, if ever, needed.
Debbie loves, but is allergic to cats, so we'd prefer to avoid a house where an indoor cat lives.
We employ a housekeeper who cleans the house weekly.
