About our home

We have a beautiful contemporary house with cathedral ceilings and interesting architecture, lots of windows and light bringing the forest inside. There are two terraces and one balcony and two fireplaces. Our large kitchen has ceramic tiles and stainless steel appliances, it has an open floor plan and is connected with the living and dinning rooms. There are hardwood floors throughout. There is a very private master bedroom and bathroom and a walkin closet. Furnishing is simple, sparse and eclectic, items collected from our travels.

More about us

We are in our early 60s. We have a 28 year old son who is into photography and movies. We enjoy the country life here in upstate NY with its proximity to New York City. We sail on a nearby lake and hike and bike in the parks around our area.
Saba is a semi retired rural Development professional, Paul is working in the DC area also works in Economic Development. We have lived and worked in many countries.
We enjoy this farm country, the antique stores and small boutiques the farm markets and wineries in the summer. Museums and and city attractions are a train ride away in New York city.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our quaint village is full of farms, wineries and rolling hills, and our home is located on a desirable country road with a few farms. The summer, Fall, and Spring bring farm markets and concerts at wineries, restaurants and cafes and is a great place to explore New York State and the Hudson valley. There is a ski lodge and a ski golf and spa resort nearby. There are buses and trains to New York City which is only an hour away, metro north railroad is in a nearby town.
