Metropolitan DC and thirty minutes from Baltimore. The house is 100 years old, with an amazing large covered front porch, a screened in porch, and spacious bedrooms. We have a large yard and wonderful neighbors. The house sleeps six with no one sleeping in the living room; three bedrooms, two baths. It is large and spacious. Our sons live in the Bay Area area and we are looking to find someone we can exchange with a couple times of year, Maybe a family with family that lives in DC. The house is clean, not cluttered at all and has comfortable beds. We have lived in it for 30 years and it looks great.
My husband and I have two great grown sons. We have a wonderful home and would like to travel more now that the kids are out the house. We both work full time, but have time to take off for vacations. We have a great neighborhood. We both are avid readers and are addicted to living in DC and having the international news be our local news. DC has much to offer and it is a great place to visit either on your own or with your family. We are open to visiting anywhere-but in particular we want to spend time in northern California, (SF, Santa Cruz Etc) The Netherlands and London.
We live on the Maryland side of Washington DC just three miles from the White House and thirty minutes from Baltimore. A 15 minute walk to the train will bring you right into the heart of DC. Takoma Park MD has amazing charm in and of itself, with parks for kids to play, a farmer's market and great shopping in Takoma Park and in nearby Silver Spring. DC has much to offer and without changing trains, one can be at the Smithsonian in 20 minutes. We love living in DC, and would love to share our home. Great yard for kids. Come to celebrate in the capital city of the USA!
