Hi My name is Mellissa. I'm orig. from New Mexico, my husband Shannon, grew up most of his life in Alaska. We moved up here from NM. I will probably always choose to live in Alaska, b/c it is so beautiful. I'm an animal lover, so your pets are very welcome.
I work for the State of Alaska, I'm a Military Youth Instructor, and my husband Shannon is a Aircraft mechanic. We have 3 cats, mostly outdoor, and 1 dog. We have a 16 year old daughter , she's a junior in HS. Spoiled rotten!!
She would love a swap in sunny california or Hawaii. So would I.
I would also really like to go where ever there is a sunny beach, as far as the US goes. I'm not interested in visiting any places such as Iowa, Wyoming, N&S Dakota, Nebraska, you get the picture. I would like to visit, Washington DC, Florida and possibly NY, City though.
I'm pretty much wanting to swap homes for a 2 week or less period next summer. I'm pretty booked this winter so I'm not going to have my home avail then. But the winter of 2008 would be okay.
If you have any questions please email me. I'm dying to see who my first contact will be. LOL
We have never tried this b/f so can't say if it is a good thing or not. All I know is if both families are in good standing & honest indiv. this could be a really great solution to expensive trips. We'll see.
And.....theres never anything wrong w/ planning ahead.
Thanks for looking!
