Our beautiful home is located in a quiet corner of the suburbs outside of Portland Oregon surrounded by large trees and picturesque greenery. Whether you need a place to relax or a place to find adventure in the outdoors, Oregon is the place for you. We are a young married couple who just bought our home one year ago. Since then we have remodeled and updated the entire home. The kitchen has been totally revamped to give it an up to date and state of the art cooking/hosting area. We have beautiful original hardwood floors throughout most of the house with stone floors in the kitchen and brand new carpet in the family/TV room. Our 3 bedroom home is fully furnished with two queen beds and an office (can be converted into a bedroom) equipped with high speed internet access. Since this was our first home together we purchased new furniture throughout the home including a dining table for 8, leather couches and chairs for the front room and ultra plush couches perfect for the TV room. While we take pride in our ownership of the inside of our home the best part is actually on the outside. The large back deck sported with new patio furniture, a gas powered grill, and a fire pit is perfect for a barbeque and roasting marshmallows while telling camp stories.
The city of West Linn where our house is located is ideally situated for the outdoor enthusiast. Within 10 minutes of our home you could find yourself enjoying the best Oregon has to offer in a number of ways including the Willamette river where you can fish, rent kayaks, boats, and jet skis,. 10 minutes in another direction you have access to a number of parks with plenty of trails for hiking and Mt. biking (two bikes are available for your use), or just a leisurely walk. For those willing to go a bit further we are within an hour of the Oregon coast where you can go whale watching, enjoy salt water taffy, or just breath in the rejuvenating salt water air. Also within an hour is Mount Hood and year round Skiing (Three Snowboards also available for your use). The famous Columbia River Gorge is within 60 miles providing endless hiking, fishing, wind/kite surfing and any other sport one could possibly care to do. If the night life is your forte drive 15 minutes north to enjoy downtown Portland and all of the dining, clubbing, and entertainment you can fit into one vacation not to mention the largest park within city limits in the US. Portland is home to a diverse mix of music, Arts, Dining, and theater sure to please even the toughest critic.
My husband and I have been married for a little over four years. We do not have any children yet but do have an adorable potty trained dachshund (could be taken to a kennel during trade). I work as a corporate recruiter for a large financial services/insurance company. My husband is a commercial insurance broker utilizing his business degree. We both enjoy the outdoors and met while attending school in Hawaii. After graduation we moved to the Pacific Northwest. We both enjoy running, each completed the Portland Marathon and various other races including a 171 mile team relay race. We also love to take part in winter fun like snowboarding and snow caving. Perhaps our most favorite thing to do is entertain our friends in our accommodating home through barbeques and dinner parties.
