About our home

Our country home was built in 1847, so it has tons of character. The house has much of it's original charm and is also furnished with antiques. It's fairly secluded on 2 hillside acres with large yards on both sides of the house, as well as some forest.

The house features a large open kitchen, large formal dining room, casual tv living room and formal living room with piano and wood stove. A small solarium off the living room looks out onto the patio. The porch and patio are great for relaxtion in the warmer months. We have a gas grill and a tiny fish pond.
Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms. The master has a queen. Two bedrooms each have double beds. The final bedroom is a study with a trundle day bed that becomes either a king or 2 twin beds.

We have a 42" flatscreen, DVD, dishwasher, computer with internet, etc.

Our kids are grown, but we have many toys for our grandkids, so your kids are welcome.

Our home is located in Wilton, NH. Wilton, population of about 3000, is quaint New Hampshire town. We are only about 1 1/2 hours from Boston, 1 1/4 hr from the coast. There are many mountains nearby for hiking and skiing, as well as lakes and streams for fishing and kayaking. There are other lovely small towns in the area to explore, like Peterborough (setting of 'Our Town').
Historic downtown Wilton is within walking distance and has some interesting stores and a great movie theatre that is in the old town hall. www.wiltontownhalltheatre.com
There is lovely foliage in late September through mid October.

We are a older couple (60s and 70s) who enjoy cooking and outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, kayaking and gardening.
