This is a home with an outstanding hill country view. 2,000 sq. ft. plus house with three bedrooms, huge, sunken living area, bright kitchen with all modern conveniences and amazing decks to soak up the sun on! We live on the top of a hill on a quiet
cul de sac, surrounded by three acres of hillside. This house was built to be passive solar, so we have lots of skylights. Large laundry room.
Our neighborhood is small, just like the village of Wimberley. It's very peaceful, a great place to hang out after a day of tubing on the Guadalupe River at Schlitterbahn or shopping at the village stores in beautiful Wimberley.
Relax on our decks with a cold drink in hand and drink in the view of the setting sun. Watch the deer come up to graze on the gardens.
Gaze at the hummingbirds as they buzz around looking for nectar.
You might want to go into town and have mexican food at Mimas.
Or, head over to the Cypress Creek Cafe for dinner before headin' to the back for live music.
Our family loves music and water. Austin, the live music capital of the world, is only a quick 30 minute drive away. The village of Wimberley is a five minute drive and includes the Blanco River plus the Blue Hole, swimming hole made famous in the movie How To Eat Fried Worms.
We have live music, outdoor movies, tons for families to do.
San Antonio with it's famed Riverwalk, SeaWorld and Fiesta Texas is approximately 75 minutes away. World famous Schlitterbahn, Family Water Park is less than 30 minutes away.
Houston is a 3.5 hour drive away. Dallas is about four hours. Texas beaches are also about four hours away.
Our family includes my husband, Joseph, a homebuilder, a grown daughter who lives about 20 minutes away, Heather and her husband Brad, and our younger set of kids, Hannah who is eleven and Alex who is ten. I'm Jeri, a school teacher who is staying home these days. We are avid readers (the adults anyway) and the kids are involved in soccer and tennis. We are non-smokers, even the younger kids;-) We love to swim and listen to music. Joseph and I are hooked on Britcoms, especially As Time Goes By, Keeping Up Appearances, Vicar of Dibley and Last of the Summer Wine. (Apparently we get them here after they're long done in the UK) We've been to England twice and would move there if we could afford it. Have relatives in France, Germany and Belgium.
It's possible that our older daughter Heather would join us this summer but she is working on her Master's degree and her schedule may not allow for it. Chances are, it would just be the four of us.
