About our home

Our house is a construction from 1920 that we had recycled to satisfy our needs. It has the glamorous old elements that we kept such as the wooden floors, doors and windows, marble and high ceilings.
In the main floor there are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom with double bed and a dresser that leads you to the bathroom. The kids room with 2 single beds and other that we use as a reading room with lots of morning sun. We have a living room with fireplace and a dinning room with a bar corner. The kitchen also has a round table for breakfast.
In the top floor we have a closed barbecue place with a dining table for 10 people fully equipped and integrated with a living room and a huge fire grill to make barbecues. Also a green terrace roof garden with an outside Jacuzzi and a round table if you prefer to eat outside.
In the first floor there is a garage for 2 cars and a projection room with home theater surround sound and screen. There is also a bathroom downstairs.
We have our 2 studios downstairs, with independent access from outside. The architect studio where Agustin works by his own, and the Production Company where Agustina works along with 2 more people.

More about us

  1. Agustin is 45 and he is an architect. Agustina is 36 and she is a cinema producer. We have 2 beautiful daughters: Antonia 4 years old and Julia almost 2.
Agustina travels a lot because of her job and is always willing her family to come with her. So we try to experience new places together. We like the places by the beach were Agustin can surf and we can swim. We also like big cities and getting to know new places.
We have a little house by the countryside were we try to go every weekend and also a wooden house by the beach were you can access by 4x4 car.

Where is it?

Our house is in Parque Rodó´s neighborhood. Five blocks away from a big park and seven from “La Rambla”, the waterfront that goes all along the Rio de la Plata River. Everyone goes there to have a walk, to run, skate or ride on bike.
We are close to the downtown but in a more quiet neighborhood. There are a few restaurants around. In Montevideo there are lots of” Parrilladas” where you can have excellent meat and the typical “chivitos” (a huge meat sandwich with lots of ingredients).
Montevideo is 140 km away from Punta del Este, a very well know and exclusive summer resort. If you want a more quiet and “hippie” style beach you can do 100 more kms and arrive to Rocha´s beaches with little towns like La Pedrera and Cabo Polonio (with no electricity and sand dunes where you can only get by truck).
Colonia del Sacramento was a Portuguese colony town, 160 kms west from Montevideo. It´s a beautiful place with lots of restaurants and nice streets to have a peaceful walk.
If you want more action you can cross the river and visit Buenos Aires by boat (3 hours) or by plane (40 minutes).
