About our home

Privately Owned Vacation Home with Alfresco Dining, Living and Lounge areas. Award winning home designed and furnished by its owners, an Architect and an Interior Designer. This well published home has been featured in Waterfront Home and Design, Miami Home and Decor. It has also been included in the Tour of Homes, by St. Croix Landmarks Society.
Located in the prestigious gated community of Judiths Fancy on St. Croix's North Shore, it is the perfect location from which to explore the island and minutes from shopping, restaurants, water-sports and spas.
Set in an acre of landscaped grounds, nestling up to the ruins of a historic 18th century sugar plantation and mill, enjoy the extraordinary views and an abundance of magical tropical breezes. So close to the ocean you can hear the sounds of the surf and walk to the beach.
This 3 bedroom, 3 and a half bath villa comes with optional maid service once a week. Arrangements can be made to meet you at the airport and show you the home. You will need to rent a car to enjoy the island fully.
Beautifully appointed with art, artifacts and other treasures from around the world and the Caribbean, the stylish interiors work in tandem with the tropical environment.
Amenities include 2 air mattresses (if required)to sleep 8 total, a charcoal grill, coolers, separate laundry room with washer/dryer, furniture up on the roof deck, beach towels, quality towels and linens and a well equipped kitchen with a separate bar area. The efficient kitchen design incorporates all the appliances and a work island. Kitchen counters are Corian with stainless steel sink. There are plenty of cooking utensils and implements, bar-ware, glasses and china. There is TV with cable (English channels only), DVD player, Stereo System and a collection of World Music CD's and tapes, some games/puzzles, books, magazines etc.
All the bedrooms are air conditioned with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed and sleeps 2 but it is large and can accommodate the 2 air mattresses, unless someone in your party wants to sleep under the stars. It is extremely safe. The other 2 bedrooms are smaller with 2 twin beds each and are also extremely well furnished. The powder bath is just off the Breakfast Room and the Kitchen. In addition to the Patio and Decks, there is a Roof Deck where one can see some amazing sunsets over the water, enjoy the historic ruins and lush landscaping.
Enclosed formal areas include a Gallery, Breakfast, Dining and Living Rooms.

Neighbourhood

Having being owned by 7 countries, St. Croix is known for its history along with beautiful historic architecture in the main towns of Christiansted and Fredericksted. In addition numerous hamlets and former plantations dot the island each with their own defining characteristics. You will find the island has a lot to offer in natural sights from mountains, sandy beaches, the ocean, tropical rain forests to grassy areas, agricultural farming and the production of rum. Sugar cane plantations and raising livestock was a former way of life till the 60's. Some of this still exists.
Our home is 3.5 miles to the West of Christiansted, on the North shore of St. Croix.
Among other important sights to visit would be Salt River National Park and Columbus Landing, Buck Island Reef National Monument, Government House in Christiansted along with the harbor front Forts in both towns, the restored plantation houses and grounds at Whim and Little La Grange and The St. George's Botanical Garden's, set within the ruins of a sugar cane plantation with its collection of rare and tropical flora.
Driving around the island is a great way to explore and enjoy the natural beauty of the Island with its amazing views and tropical warm weather and sunshine.
There are plenty of other activities from snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, sailing and other water sports to hiking, golfing, tennis. Pamper yourself with spa/ massage treatments at the 5 star hotel luxury spas or at other locations around the island, lots of fine dining and duty free shopping. Gambling is available at the Divi Carina Hotel. Do not forget to feed the pigs in the mahogany rain forest where you can also find wonderful locally made mahogany handicrafts for sale. Of course the locally made Cruzan Rum is a must.
There is a local theater group on the island which has performances throughout the year. Check to see if they will be performing as they are very talented. Also check to see if there are any art shows by local artists but you should also visit their galleries, as a lot of their work is extraordinary.
