About our home

This is my holiday home. It was finished in Dec 2006 with upmarket fittings including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave; 45 metre ocean frontage with 12m lap pool plus reef swimming pool just off the sand; 3 separate pavillions; housegirl and gardener; mountains to the north west; 20 mins from Port Vila in a very quiet area. More about us

  1. I am a Change Management Consultant who plans to retire in Vanuatu and do home exchanges. I live in Melbourne Australia and when the house isn't rented or exchanged I travel there as much as possible. I lived in Vanuatu during 2006 while consulting to an Australian Bank in Port Vila. It was during this time that the house was built.I am a very keen traveler and as my house in Vanuatu isn't where I live I am happy to have non-simultaneous exchange. In most cases I would be the only traveler.

Neighbourhood

The house is built on 1 acre of land in what was originally a cattle and coconut plantation. All properties are at least 1 acre and many Aust and NZ expats own houses along the road. People are friendly but not intrusive. The local ni-Vanuatu village is called Mele and is about 10 mins on the road into Port Vila. The people are very friendly. My gardener Obed and his wife Eki have their own house on the property and manage the garden and the pavilions. They are also able to provide an insight into life in Vanuatu.
