“Fantastic home exchange if you want to relax and get away from it all. The house is absolutely beautiful and has all the comforts of home. Villas provide privacy if you are travelling as a group or family. Robin provides excellent local information and sight seeing suggestions and is an absolute delight to deal with. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property if you are looking for peace and quiet in a tropical oasis. ”
“Thank you so much Robin to give this wonderful opportunity to my family, we all loved it and can't wait to go back... Best home exchange we have done so far! We loved the tropics and swimming in a warm ocean, specially in your natural ocean pool where there is always something different to explore under the water! Great weather for February, few showers and one day of rain for 16 days of holidays. Obed and Eky's family were just the cherry on the cake! Lovely family. We have experienced some great snorkeling in Turtle Bay and the best on Hideaway Island just next door to the villa or in front of villa as well, ate some great food (specially seafood buffet at Le Lagon Resort on Friday night, romantic dinner in a delightful atmosphere at Vilas Chaumires), visiting all around the island with a rental car for 3 days, meet the locals when you take a minibus, watching a brilliant show of fire dancers at The Beach Bar in Mele bay, refreshed ourselves at The Mele Water Cascades, challenging our fears on the flying fox on The Zipline at the Summit (next to the villa) and finally on the top of all relaxing at the villa Bukura Beach House watching this amazing view on the ocean with the cruise ship passing by!! You even forget the real world after the first day ! If you have the chance to have a home exchange, you are a lucky guy!!! Otherwise just rent a week or two and have the best holidays ever! Alors bon voyage et revenez avec de memorables souvenirs and Happy like the locals!!!”
Where is it?
The house is built on 1 acre of land in what was originally a cattle and coconut plantation. All properties are at least 1 acre and many Aust and NZ expats own houses along the road. People are friendly but not intrusive. The local ni-Vanuatu village is called Mele and is about 10 mins on the road into Port Vila. The people are very friendly. My gardener Obed and his wife Eki have their own house on the property and manage the garden and the pavilions. They are also able to provide an insight into life in Vanuatu.
