About our home

Our private courtyard home in the trendy suburb of Tay Ho is the perfect escape from frenetic Hanoi. It is about a 15 minute taxi ride - or 50 minute leisurely walk from Hoan Kiem (Old Quarter).
Spread over three floors there is plenty of room for everybody. A rooftop terrace with glimpses of the lake is perfect for sundowners, or maybe you would prefer our 'secret garden' courtyard!
The pool is covered so that even on the hottest of days it will still be refreshing.
Children are welcome but they need to be able to swim as the pool is not fenced.
At over 80 years old, our home is French colonial. The 4 metre ceilings, french doors and elegant stairs give a sense of grandeur, but our style is very relaxed!

*** Hanoi is going through a construction boom at the moment. At every corner old homes are being torn down and replaced by apartments. Recently some construction has commenced in our area which means that there is a little noise during the day. If you plan to be out and about this should not be an issue. In the evenings the noise usually stops by 6pm.
The upside of all this is that you should visit now before all the old buildings have been lost to development!!

Taxis and Grab (the SE Asian version of Uber) are easy to hail and cheap.
The Old Quarter (Hoan Kiem) and the major sights are only a 10-15 minute taxi drive, or if you are feeling adventurous then just hop on a scooter! You can also walk there in about 45-50 minutes.
