About our home

We have lived in this beautiful villa for 3 years it is on the lakeside of the largest lake in Hanoi, it is easy to walk into town but has pleasant fresh air from being near the lake. There is an outside eating area with views to the lake a large balcony and roof terrace where on a clear day you can admire the distant mountains. We have a full time housekeeper who will cook and do your laundry we also have a cleaner. Ha our housekeeper speaks good english and is used to helping our visitors.

More about us

I am an artist Mark my husband is the regional director of a British conservation charity. We have two children Kate 15 and BB (Bethany) who is 8 both go the International school here. We are from the south of England and like to return each summer so that the children can touch base with friends and family. We have houseswapped two times before. We also have 3 cats although you will not have to worry about them as Ha our housekeeper will take care of them and you!

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our neighbourhood is called Nghi Tam village it used to be a flower garden and is a 5 minute walk down an interesting lane. It is a car free area although has its own taxi service at the top of the lane. There are many western families living here so the local shop is used our needs and the taxis speak some english.
