“I had always wanted a stone house but because of where we live and other restrictions this of course was out of the question. But now I had my chance. Our stay in Graciela and Tommy's house started on a bad note with torrential rain and low temperatures but with excellent slow burning wood the stone cottage was soon cosy with the slow combustion stove adding heaps of warmth. This turned out to be the only inclement weather and we basked in beautiful sunshine for the rest of our stay. The cottage looks up to the snow capped Andes and we never tired of looking and the view was always changing with mist rising or clouds floating across. We hired a car to visit the surrounding valleys and had lots of adventures sightseeing. This is a unique part of the world and very beautiful. We even tried an Argentinian barbecue which was we thought perfect. Graciela thought it might be too remote but we loved it and embraced its difference. Thank you Graciela and Tommy”
