“We had a wonderful week in Leigh’s large family home. I was helping with a friend’s wedding nearby so didn’t have much time to enjoy the near by beaches and sand dunes, but my teenage children used the home’s bikes and body boards and beach towels and had a great time. The kitchen is large, plenty of bench space and fridge storage, and very well equipped all really appreciated for my cooking for the wedding. There is very little phone reception so I had to use the home’s landline and WiFi for all communications but that worked OK. This was Leigh’s first house swap (and around my 10th) so there was a lot of communicating by phone, text and email before, during and after the direct swap due to the idiosyncrasies of the two homes. We both experienced unexpected power and water outages which ended up being rather amusing as this never usual happens for either of us. Also it was a very hot week and neither home has air conditioning so we could empathise with each other. Overall a great swap, and I’d be happy to swap with Leigh (next time with more time to enjoy the beaches and lakes) or host her and her husband for points in the future. ”
