“We absolutely loved our time at Pete and Pamela's Patonga apartment. First - the location - it really is breathtaking. Right on the foreshore at Patonga, looking through some majestic Norfolk Island pines across the reserve to the beach and water beyond. The Boathouse at Patonga (fabulous pub), is at the end of the street, and the wharf is close by for ferry trips to Palm Beach, or to catch a water taxi to Cottage Point inn (highly recommended for an indulgent lunch). The apartment is the whole top floor of the beachfront home - there's a huge lounge with doors that fully open to a large terrace and that extraordinary view - we spent most of our time on the deck. As the description explains, there is no kitchen - as we were warned, we planned our meals accordingly and there is enough to allow you to cook up a storm on the BBQ. As there is a bathroom, you can wash up in the provided tub, so it wasn't a drama for us. But, as the pub is just down the road, we ate there a few times as it was just so pleasant. We took our own inflatable kayak and went out twice - once on the river and once in the ocean (P&P have kayaks you can borrow). We went on quite a few beautiful hikes to waterfalls and generally just loved the whole area. So, we felt very lucky to be able to stay, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants an absolute waterfront stay. Thanks P&P, from J&J.”
