“What fantastic a few days we spent at the condo and around QC. Patti’s local neighborhood recommendations were spot on. In addition, 30 minute walk from the condo took us to the Quebec Museum of Fine Arts where lunch was excellent. Along the way you will walk by the many cafe’ trotoire across from the Plains of Abraham museum. You can easily spend a couple of hours people watching!! If you’re into baguettes and croissants then the Paillard or Baguette et Chocola less the 200 feet from the condo are highly recommended. For a quite and elegant meal the E’quade’ restaurant close by. It was a treat to enjoy the “Imagine Monet” immersive 360 show by the port. We spent a day in the Charlevoix area NE of QC. We first visited the famous Fromagerie le Migneron and enjoyed their samples of cheese and bought some goat cheese. We then drove to Baie-Sainte-Catherine famous for whale watching. Driving back towards QC we took the free ferry from Baie-Sainte Joseph to the Île aux Coudres known for their traditional ship making techniques. In Baie Saint Paul we had a fantastic dinner at Le Louve restaurant (very small; need reservations). Another day trip took the famous Falls at Montmorency a short 20 minute ride from the condo. We walked on the bridge spanning the Falls but zip-lining looked like an awesome option. Had lunch in the restaurant ovelooking the Falls; what a treat!! We then drove across the nearby bridge to St-Pierre-de-l'Île-d'Orléans and drove around the island’s villages; you can sample the largest berries we’ve ever seen; eating the blueberry ice cream a must.
