“Our first home-exchange experience ever was with Becky and Tony and it was a great one! We connected through e-mail and skype prior to the exchange and immediately felt safe with them. Because they are already experienced home-exchangers it was very convenient that they could help us with the procedures, the contract and travel plans. How wonderful to arrive to a house on the other side of the world, turn the key, step into somebody else's house and feel right at home! Becky and Tony's house in Surrey is beautiful, comfortable and spacious, has a lovely view over Mount Baker, and a big park right in front of the house. We were immediately welcomed by one of their neighbors, who invited us for dinner the very next day, which made us feel so at home! The house is about a 45 minute drive from Vancouver. But if you, like us, want to explore the whole area, visit Vancouver Island, Banff, Jasper, Seattle etc, this is a great location. Becky had conveniently put a lot of addresses in the sat-nav which made it easy to find our way to stores, places to visit and things to see. We loved her suggestions on where to go! During our stay we had contact by e-mail which made it easy to ask practical things and also get an idea about their experience in our house in Maastricht. Unfortunately we couldn't meet "live" to say thank you, but we had the fortunate chance to, upon arrival, wave at each other from different sides of the airport in Amsterdam!
