“We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Hungary at the home of Noe and Kata's. It was a very easy and pleasant exchange, with great communication and help from our hosts. They went to a lot of trouble to ensure that we had a good time, and were very helpful with arranging everything for us. The lovely, quiet cottage is tucked away in the woods in the foothills of the Pilis Hills where you can go on some beautiful walks. Nearby is Esztergom, where there is the most spectacular Basilica we had ever seen. This is right on the banks of the Danube, and you can walk over the bridge and you are in Slovakia. The whole area is situated on the "Danube Bend" which is the most perfect stretch of the whole river. We were left instructions and suggestions on things to do in the area, and we took full advantage of them. There is a town named Dobogoko nearby, and if you are keen walkers, as we are, it is perfect as there are a number of hikes that are very clearly marked by both map and colour coding on trees etc. they range from a few kilometers to much longer hikes if you wished. Also there are some breathtaking views over the Danube, and the dense woodland in the area. We spent a fantastic week in the cottage, and wished it could have been longer.
