“We had a lovely stay in John and Caitriona's house in Kinsale. The location was ideal, up above the town, far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to walk down to the centre in 10mins or so. Communication was great beforehand and during the swap and the house was perfect for us and exactly as described. Eveything was spotless on arrival and we really appreciated the treats left to welcome us and especially thoughtful was a card for our 9yr old's birthday which he celebrated there. We spent a lot of time on the huge patio overlooking the town and playing football in the garden. Inside there's plenty of books and toys to keep the kids amused when it's raining. There was plenty of information left for us on things to do in the area and also during our trip John and Caitriona gave us additional tips for beaches etc which was much appreciated. Kinsale is beautiful and very well placed to access Cork City and also West Cork..we took a cruise around the harbour..visited Charles Fort..Fota Island Wildlife park , kayaked at Oysterhaven Activity centre and swam at Dock beach among others. We did a Classic swap and arrived back to find our house in perfect order. As our first home swap experience it was 100% positive , thanks to John and Caitriona and their family for making it so easy. :) ”
