“We absolutely loved our exchange with Carlos, Beatriz, Lia, Marcos and Pablo from start to finish. Their house is wonderful - spacious, stylish, homely. Our boys particularly enjoyed their sizeable pool, and were in it every day, rain or shine. Every evening we sat out on their terrace - eating, reading and playing cards. The house sits in a huge garden, so we had all the space we could need. The location is brilliant - just a 10-minute drive from stunning Santiago, which has all the shops and restaurants you could want (we particularly recommend Casa Marcelo!). There are also a few restaurants within walking distance of the house. The location is also fantastic for exploring the best of Galicia. We fell in love with its forested hills, stunning coast (particularly the wild Costa da Morte), fascinating cities (Vigo, A Coruña, Pontevedra, Lugo) and gorgeous beaches - all within an hour's drive. Carlos and Beatriz are delightful people - our communication before and during the exchange was warm, helpful and prompt - and looked after our house perfectly while we were in theirs. We wouldn't hesitate to thoroughly recommend them, and we look forward to returning to Santiago and Galicia one day!”
