Our two story 25 year old family home is very comfortable. It features a large deck overlooking the hills and valley with the sea beyond. It also has a patio area for outside dining. The lounge dining area and kitchen are open plan. There is one bedroom with on suite on the ist level with the two other bedrooms and a bathroom up stairs.

We have a spacious sunny home with expansive views over Christchurch City and Pegasus Bay towards the Southern Alps.  We are situated on the edge of the Port Hills looking directly over the seaside village of Sumner.  

Sumner, Christchurch, Gateway to the South Island

 WE live up a hill overlooking the ocean and the delightful village of Sumner on the SE side of Christchurch. We are 25 minutes drive from the city and 45 minutes from the International airport with a direct public bus service. Our family home was built in the 1970s, it's quite private, sheltered by trees and down a steep driveway off the main road. We have a master bedroom with en suite and an ocean view, another bedroom with a Kingsize bed and balcony view, and a downstairs bedroom with a Queen bed and a small kitchenette. The house offers a variety of outside areas to  have meals/cuppas in the sun on different decks throughout the day. We also offer the use of  WIFI, an outdoor spa, log burner with a good wood supply, BBQ and a Games Room that is still being renovated. While there is no TV, there are plenty of spaces to relax over a bottle of wine, watch the continuous movements of the waves, the changing colours and beach activity below, the rising sun in the morning and the setting sun at the end of the day. Come and experience this for yourselves.

Stunning 3 bedroom Apartment at Golf Resort

We are situated 3 minutes from the beach in South New Brighton, Christchurch. Christchurch is a great springboard from which to discover the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. We are only an hour away from the mountains and 1.5 hours from the nearest ski fields. Great for either a summer or winter holiday. 

Our home is a traditional wooden detached A frame style. With remu wood floors, cosy log burner and new modern kitchen and bathrooms. We have just installed a free standing bath as part of the master bedroom which adds a bit of luxury and romance. The house is a perfect mix of old style and new. 

2 of the bedrooms have queen beds and 2 have doubles. If you have a baby or toddler we can provide you with the necessary cot and other equipment. We have a walk in loft full of games, puzzles and toys for all ages. In the garden you will find 3 kayaks. 

We have 2 very easy care cats,  who we would love you to feed. However if you are going to be travelling around NZ we have family or neighbours who can pop in and do that. 

We would also love to swap cars. We have a pretty new Ford Kuga - great for travelling around. 

Every couple of years we go to England to visit family so would be open to swapping with someone in the uk or consider a swap in other parts of Europe. We hope to do a trip to the UK at the end of 2022 if anyone is interested, otherwise swapping within New Zealand and Australia for short holidays would be fun.

Comfortable interior with all new furniture and appliances, including a 42-inch flat screen TV. Downstairs heap pump for the hot summer and cool winter. Combined washer and dryer in separate laundry with door to backyard clothesline.
Accessibility - The townhouse is two-storied. There is a large single garage with internal access or one step up to the front door.
Just around the corner on bustling Lincoln Road, you'll find Coffee Culture, a number of cafes, restaurants and bars, as well as a pharmacy. Less than a 2km walk via Hagley Park and along the river to the vibrant, new and long-awaited Riverside Market; and from there you can explore the heart of the city easily by foot or tram

Central Christchurch Spacious Townhouse

We live on a quiet culdesac bordering a small reserve full of mature trees and native plants. Our home is a unique combination of neo-georgian and unique styles that is divided in to 2 large separate wings(great for families or 2 couples/friends traveling together).  The kitchen has an open plan family room included with a separate dining and living rooms also downstairs. All the bedrooms are upstairs: The main bedroom has a super-king bed, 2 others have a double and one a queen bed,. We have 2 cockatiels(Australian parrots) outside on a covered patio(Chicky & Lateeny).

Our lovely home is two blocks from a safe, sandy intermediate surfing beach. Also just a few minutes to Sumner Village with cafes, restaurants, parks, playgrounds etc
It is completely fenced in, so safe for young children. There is a lovely back garden (and front garden), small deck area and outdoor table, chairs and umbrella. 

Sumner Magic

Our family home is located in the seaside suburb of Redcliffs, in Christchurch. Just a 20 minute drive from Christchurch city centre you cross over the causeway into Redcliffs and feel a million miles away.

Our three  bedrooms home is set up for a family who love the outdoors, we have a a large open plan kitchen and dinning room with a conservatory to enjoy the sun. 

The outside space you can use the large decked area with gas bbq or smoker, outdoor spa or use the outdoor hot shower to wash down after a day at the nearby beach. Our garden contains a wide range of fruiting trees and plants from lemons and limes through to pomegranates, passion fruits, fejoia and raspberries.

The garage has a range of bikes, surfboard, gym weights or an indoor climbing wall for you to use. Nearby is the Sumner beach which is a 5 minutes bike ride along the coastal bike path, Sumner has cafes, pub, restaurants and shops to explore along with a local cinema.

Just outside the front door you can access the hills for some beautiful walks, a short drive to Taylors mistake or the port town of Lyttleton where a.wwekly famers market has great produce.






Family home near the beach

This beautiful house is comfortable and spacious with all the modern amenities. A fantastic kitchen with adjoining dining room overlooks a well manicured garden. The floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the main room let in beautiful daytime light. The back garden is very private with an immense water feature that is lighted at night. There are two bedrooms and one loft with a day bed. The living room offers sumptous furnishings, comfortable seating on two sofas and a plush chair. Modern art completes the interior setting.

Gorgeous Modern House in Walking Distance to Everything

Our Deco/Modernist house has been renovated and partially rebuilt with an extension that doubles as a music room and guest room with ensuite. Our large deck overlooks the Heathcote river and catches the afternoon sun. We have a good-sized seasonal vegetable garden and four free range chickens that supply wonderful eggs (if they are in the mood).

Palatine Terrace is a quiet tree-lined street and St Martins is a nice area that is 10 minutes by car (15 by cycle) from the city centre. We are also close to bus routes, cafes and restaurants, and parks.  The Port Hills are close and very popular for walks and recreational cycling. We have a couple of bicycles available as is our 2004 Mazda 3 upon request. It's a great touring car and has a roof capsule and tow bar (and bike rack).

Christchurch is perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful South Island. It is fascinating to watch the central city coming alive with new and dynamic architecture after many buildings were lost due to the 2010 - 2011 earthquakes. 'Cantabrians' have learnt to be patient with the rebuild! The central city has recently really come alive with great places to eat and socialise, and getting around is easy. We are forever turning the corner and being surprised with colourful street art. 

We would be comfortable with a non-simultaneous swap as guests could stay in our semi-self contained extension while we are in residence. Our guest bedroom is spacious, has a queen-size bed and could easily fit a spare bed / mattress. The second bedroom has a king-single. Our sunroom can is separated from the living by curtains so could function as another room if need be.
