Our barn is from 1860. It has been restored 2018. It has a beautiful architecture from the outside.  The interior is modern with a lot of art works. There is a fire place in the living room. The barn is in itself eternally modern. The contrast of the white walls and the wood is absolutely stunning. It is like a cottage in the city. We have public transportation around the corner which will take you within 30 min. to the central station, museums, airport, etc. By car it will only be 15 min. to downtown. There a several wonderful restaurants close by. Cologne is 1,5 hours from Brussels and 3,5 hours from Paris by the train Thalys. Perfect location to do some trips from around here. Cologne is famous for the cathedral spires tower over Germany's oldest city and its innumerable cultural and historical treasures, world-famous museums and active art scene. Take a trip through 2000 years of history and visit cultural monuments from the Roman Empire to modern times. Also, Cologne is an art and culture metropolis of international renown: 42 museums, such as the Museum Ludwig, which houses the biggest pop art collection outside the USA, the new cultural Quarter at Neumarkt and 120 galleries with the widest variety of collections from all eras bear witness to Cologne's reputation as a centre for art and culture. Cologne also has an extremely animated theatre scene.

Our spacious apartment is surrounded by greenery. It’s situated in an upscale area of Cologne surrounded by family homes and villas. The biggest park of Cologne (Stadtwald) with its' own wild animal park is just 10 min from us. Also, you have different grocery stores and the biggest mall of Cologne just around the corner. There’s free on-street parking in front of our building with lots of space. The apartment is on the 1st floor, however, there’s also a lift in the building.  Thus if you’re traveling with small children and buggy it’s not an issue.  The apartment was just refurbished in 2022.

It’s situated 15 min from the city center. There’s a direct tram going to the city center and a direct train going to the main station. We have lots of space in the apartment (128sqm) for up to 4 adults and one baby/ small child. There’s a main bedroom with a 180cm double bed, another bedroom with a single bed opening to a 160cm bed and the kids room with a cot (70x140cm) and lots of toys (pictures need to be updated). There’s a main bathroom and a guest toilet. Our kitchen is equipped with everything you’d wish for including Thermomix, air fryer and Nespresso machine. Our balcony boasts a Weber BBQ grill as well as a beefer. Please note, we don’t eat pork or seafood and would appreciate if our guests don’t use those products in our kitchen either. 

Cologne is  one of the biggest cities in Germany with lots of things to do, but also a good location for day trips to the Netherlands or to different hiking destinations.

We also have a car which we can agree to swap. 

We like to keep our apartment clean and organized. Usually we have a cleaning lady coming on weekly basis which we can agree for your stay as well. We expect our guests to treat our apartment with respect which we will be doing likewise with yours.
