Our home is a classic 1930s New Zealand bungalow that has been extended with a large kitchen and second bathroom. Native hardwood floors and 3.3m ceilings. The loumge offers views of farmland and New Zealands largest river. Located half way between two of New Zealands main cities Auckland and Hamilton it is a handy but peaceful base to launch your New Zealand experience from.

My partner Jack restored this 1960’s Bedford bus turning it into a beautiful space to chill in and it has a queen size mezzanine bedroom. Off the bus is a huge covered deck area overlooking a hidden valley and wind farm. The deck adjoins onto a cosy cabin handcrafted by himself made with beautiful Timbers and stained glass windows. The cabin has a big master size bedroom, separate toilet, shower and kitchen.

Secluded spacious modern house situated  surrounded by native bush but only a few minutes drive to both the beach and Manu Bay.  5km outside Raglan in a quiet and popular residential area.  Surfing at the beach or world famous Raglan points (both around 5 mins drive) 

Downstairs is open plan living room, with  bi-fold doors onto deck;   sofas and wood burner;  dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with USA style fridge freezer, dish washer, microwave, 2 ovens etc.   Down stairs bathroom.   The rooms open onto a large sunny sheltered decks that are a suntrap in winter, and provide shade in summer with sofas, gas BBQ, dinning table area, firepit etc.  

Upstairs  are three  double bedrooms, and a second TV room /office which can also be used as  bedroom (single bed). We can be flexible with accommodation as all bedrooms are large.  Master bedroom has views over bush and towards the ocean, en-suite bathroom with spa bath and shower. The second upstairs bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. 

Hot tub and outdoor hot shower for after the beach. 

Laundry area in the garage. 

Separate annex with double, ensuite and kitchenette also available - depending on availability (usually rented on Air B & B). 

Large and private garden with plenty of space for kids to run around, and two flat lawn areas. The garden backs on to Native bush, a stream and footpaths to the Beach. 

The property is accessed by a short gravel road off from the road.  There is a gate on the driveway, with lots pf space for parking cars and a boat.

We are keen to include a  car in the house swaps.

My home has 3 different outdoor deck areas, a fireplace and outdoor bath. I also have a sweet friendly little cat called minty.
My business is situated at the front of my home but house is tucked away behind so it’s lovely and private. And very quiet.

It is a 10 minute drive out to surf beach and point breaks, 20 minute drive to Bridal Veil Falls  but a very short stroll to harbour and foot bridge over to Kopua domain and for kayaking to lime stone. 

$90 cleaning fee left in cash on departure

A modern & spacious house designed specifically to enjoy seamless indoor/outdoor flow.  Families can enjoy seperate spaces, with the main house accommodating 6 guests and a seperate dwelling accommodating 3.  You'll feel instantly at home with the inviting & relaxed coastal interior, a home well equipped with everything you would need to make for an enjoyable family stay.

Raglan is a small coastal town, 2 hours drive from Auckland Airport, well known for it's world class surf breaks and relaxed beach vibe charm.

The main house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with bath), 2 living areas, one with wood burn fire, large outdoor patio with fire pit, outdoor shower and plenty of equipment/activities for the kids to stay entertained including trampoline, monkey bars & large football or cricket playing lawn.

The Master bedroom has a King size bed, picturesque rural views and ensuite.  The second bedroom has a King Single bed with single trundler bed  beneath.  This can be used as two singles or combined and made into a Superking bed (please advise at time of booking your preferred configuration).  The third bedroom is a King single bunk bed.  A total of 6 guests can be accommodated in the main house.   Linen, duvets, pillows and bath towels are included.

There is a second dwelling , Flaxpod Cabin, which is 20-30 meters from the main house and has 1 Queen bedroom, 1 bathroom (shower, vanity & toilet), 1 living area and a kitchenette.    There is also a fold out couch in the living area which would be suitable for a child only (it's not very comfortable for adults).  Please note the cabin has a kitchenette only with a small bar fridge, nespresso machine, tea, coffee, toast making facilities.  It does not have a sink, oven or stove top, so not suitable for cooking.

The cabin ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity has been designed to have a balinese vibe.  There is no actual door to the toilet (a pull across curtain only) so if privacy is an issue it might not be suitable for two guests that would be uncomfortable with this arrangement.

For those that want to keep on top of their holiday laundry, the main house comes equipped with a family-sized washing machine and dryer.  

And to keep those little ones (or adult ones) entertained outdoors, they can get involved in some Jumpflex trampoline action, hang from the monkey bars or play a little family football on the front lawn.  There is also a heated outdoor shower to wash away sandy toes.
