Our home was built in 2009. It is located within 40 minutes of Dublin, and only 15 minutes from historic Newgrange and the Boyne Valley. It is 270 sq meters in size on a large site, with lots of fun and play facilities for our children. We have bicycles for all ages, go-karts, football and basketball nets, board games and a range of reading material for all ages. 

The house is on a secluded site of an acre in size, 500 meters from the road. Panoramic views across the Irish Sea and south to the Dublin Mountains are stunning. In summer, there is an abundance of raspberries in the garden.

The large kitchen is at the heart of the home, whilst the sunroom is the perfect place to enjoy the views. Our children enjoy having their own place in the play room and outdoor play house. 

Within 30 minutes our home, visitors can climb the Cooley mountains, visit Newgrange and The Battle of the Boyne site, Monasterboice Round Tower and High Celtic crosses, head to the beach, visit Slane and Trim castles or seek adrenaline highs at Tayto Theme Park. Within an hour are Ireland’s  longest cycle Greenway awaits, Dublin’s theatres and museums and Belfast’s Titanic quarter.

Close proximity 1 km to local village, and 1/2 km to a nice pond, forest and park. 7 km from nice beaches and located midway between Dublin and Belfast, so perfect for city day trips with Family.  Located approx. 10 kms from Newgrange (3000 year old burial Site)  and 8km from Slane Castle. 

Edge of Country Village House

Our beautiful, modern 4 bed bungalow is spacious, child friendly and nestled in a beautiful location at the foot of a small woodland area.  

Built in 2009 with all modern conveniences including solar panels, a robotic lawnmower,  robotic vacuum cleaner, coffee machine, double rangemaster oven & multi cooker. 

Our 2800 square foot  house consists of a large hallway, a kitchen / dining area, relaxing sunroom / living area, playroom, utility and cloakroom as well as a small toilet, main bathroom and the 4 large bedrooms. 
Carol has a home based studio here also where she operates an online gift store.

Outside, our house is situated on an acre of garden which is nicely kept in check by Shaun, our superstar robotic lawnmower! We have swings, a slide and trampoline for the little ones as well as ample garden furniture, bbq and stone seating on our patio area. 

Just 45 minutes from Dublin airport, there is a whole host of activities and attractions in our area. Our local village slane is 7km away - it's legendary castle hosting some of the most famous rock concerts down through the years, 3 local towns within 20 minutes driving distance and Dublin city between 45 - 60 minutes away depending on the traffic. 
There are ample restaurants,  bars, cinema, theatres and shopping options locally as well as a short drive to the famous Battle of the Boyne site at Oldbridge. 

To travel further afield is never a problem from our home and you can drive anywhere in the country within a few hours. 

Modern Countryside Retreat with woodland view

Our home is situated on the Cooley peninsula, not far from the medieval village of Carlingford & our main town is Dundalk. 
We are not far from the city of Newry & the Mourne mountains. 
Our local pub is at the end of our private lane & there are many great restaurants in the area. 
Our house is only built about 10 years & we work really hard to keep our gardens in great condition. 

House in the country 

We live in a large 4 bedroom home in a small seaside village called Bettystown which is a 25 minute drive north from Dublin Airport. 
Across the road from our house is a links golf course and beyond that is the sea; literally a 5 minute walk from the house. 
Our home has a large front and back garden with a western facing back garden with plenty of vegetation for privacy and cover. 
We have a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounging area as well as a sitting room. The master bedroom is en suite. There is 1 other double bedroom, 1 with bunk beds and 1 with a single bed (with pullout). 
In the garden we have a bbq hut with 2 bbqs available for use. Plenty of gas, charcoal and wood available to cook or sit around a fire pit that we have too. We also have an outdoor pizza oven too to cover any kind of outdoor cooking you want to do. 

Large Family Home by the Sea

The "barn", as the name suggests, was the original animal outhouse, but the cows have moved out to make way for an architect-designed make-over with a large open-plan living / dining area with a cathedral ceiling and feature floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the stunning views. Newly-added features including an outdoor pizza oven and a wet-room with rainshower and sauna complete the experience.

Combined, you have the best of both worlds – a home steeped in tradition yet with all modern conveniences. Briefly, the barn's sleeping accomodation includes a double bedroom, a second bedroom with a single bed and bunks with a trundle bed and a loft/playroom with a double sofa bed. The bathroom has a large bath and toilet, wash-hand basin and shower. Downstairs is a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, a bright living/dining room with a Danish wood-burning stove and a wet-room with a rain-shower and cedar wood sauna. Outdoors, apart from the views and lots of garden space, there is a large patio area with seating for 8, a Weber barbeque and a newly-installed pizza oven (best pizza of your life in 3 minutes flat!) 

Facilities for the children are fantastic. As well as a mountain on their doorstep to explore, the newly built tree-house is Kids HQ in Ravensdale. An outdoor hammock and tyre swing will keep them occupied in the summer. There is also a 13-foot trampoline for bouncy fun, a dedicated play-room and, for the younger ones a swing, see-saw & slide set. A range of outdoor games including hoopla, boules, badminton/volley ball sets, etc, will also keep them busy. 

Some of the other facilities and conveniences include:

- Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer 
- Hob, oven, microwave and fridge freezer
- Lots and lots of books and board games

We also have a cleaning lady who will be available during your stay and a gardener who keeps the place looking nice. 

The barn is our holiday home, so we are open to non-simultaneous exchange and the property is generally available all year round.

Beautiful split level house with large mature garden. Modern interiors full of art and creative influences. Mary loves to travel, paint, read, create and be inspired. Her daughter lives here with her partner and 6 year old granddaughter. 

There are 3 double bedrooms, on ground floor and one single bed on 1st floor (suit young adult).The Master bedroom is very spacious,with leather couch,cable t.v, and door opens on to the front patio.The second bedroom has a walk in wardrobe,and also access to the ensuite if you wish. The third room is smaller but has a double bed. There is a double futon in another room also if extra space is needed.

There is a child's bedroom next to main bathroom with a small bed, but we have a cot also. All kids toys, highchairs, and equipment are available. The main bathroom bathroom has a large shower, the spacious ensuite has a Jacuzzi and shower, and there is a WC beside kitchen.

The open plan living dining room is where we spend most of our time. It has lovely views of the country side, flat screen tv,dvd,cable tv,L shaped leather couch, wireless music centre,and the table seats 8 comfortably.The kitchen has all mod cons.

Outside there is 1 acre of luscious garden, with many places to sit, dine and relax. The latest addition to our garden is an Artist studio, which also has a fold out double bed, kitchenette and hidden wet room, so is an extra room for a couple to stay seperate to the house. We have an outdoor pizza oven with seating to enjoy the summer evenings outdoors. Ample secure parking, trampoline and lots of space for kids to play safely. There are 3 bikes in the garage, and more available to hire locally.
