It's a 60 metres apartment with two rooms and a lot of natural light. It's nice, silent and in a nice neighbourhood. You can walk everywhere in Girona from there. Also 10 minutes on foot to the train  and bus station.

Easy access to Barcelona, but also to the best seaside and countryside places in Catalonia, as well as to SW France, which is a huge plus, especially in summer, when Barcelona city heat can be unpleasant.

Our designer house in a prestigious residential area of Girona is 450 m2, with open 2 level dining & lounge area, 3 spacious bedrooms with in suite bathrooms (bath and separate shower), office with big terrace, 1 more bedroom with bathroom downstairs, gym, kitchen with professional equipment, panoramic lift, full air conditioning,  inside and outside barbecue, nice garden with 16 x 4 m pool (heated and covered in winter), sauna, spa and relaxing water falls. Outdoor amenities for the kids - big trampoline, outdoor ping-pong table, sand pit, swings, bicicles, toys.

Quiet residential area, bordering the prestigious local tennis club, easy access to the Girona airport (15 min. drive) and Barcelona center (1 h). Our housekeeper, Gloria, could come during your stay to help you, she's a great cook, cleaner and child carer! We offer 1 luxury crossover SUV automatic gearbox car and 1 convertible automatic gearbox car as part of the exchange.

We live in the heart of one of the most beautiful areas of Spain. The best Mediterranean beaches and medieval villages are just 20 - 40 min. away. 

Barcelona center is just 1 h away by car or 38 min by high speed train, so perfect for a day/evening trip, with a privilege of not having to stay the night in the bustling city, unpleasantly hot in summer.

Take advantage of our proximity to France and visit the scenic, bohemian and very French seaside towns of Colliure, with its castle and Banyuls, with its famous wine, just 1 h 15 min drive away.

The kids will just love the famous Carcassonne castle, just  2 h away. It is perfect for a day trip and you can also visit the impressive Cathar Castles, in ruins, but very authentic and with unbeatable views, of Peyrepertuse and Queribus. It is a lovely area, we go often on a day getaway, we love the quiet picturesque French villages, the scenic roads and their lovely food at pretty local restaurants!

Back in Catalonia, Girona Gothic & Jewish Quarter are gorgeous places to have a wander and a meal, there a quite a few fantastic hiking paths around the Gothic area, with beautiful views of the Cathedral etc, there are also many, many hiking paths in the surrounding countryside and by the sea - our favorites, we go at least once a week! Celler de Can Roca, the 2nd best restaurant of the world is 10 min. drive away, in a quiet area of Girona.

The picturesque Costa Brava coast is very close, our favorite places being S Agaro, Tossa, Calella de Palafrugell and Cadaques, there are plenty of authentic medieval villages in the sorrounding Emporda area ( called the Tuscany of Spain) - Peratallada, Pals, Besalu etc. 

The Pyrenees Mountains with the pretty villages of  Camprodon ( 1 h 12 min) Puigcerda ( 2 h), or even the small country of Andorra ( 2h 40 min) are perfect to cool down on a summer day. 

If you like lakes, a walk around the Banyoles lake, 20 min away, is a sheer pleasure.

Here are some ideas of great activities to do with kids near Girona in summer. The roads here are very good, the traffic is not heavy, except for Friday and Sunday afternoon around Barcelona, many routes around Girona, the coast and the countryside are very pretty.

Girona Old Quarter, 5 min. rom home
Narrow cobblestone streets to enjoy the summer shade and scenic walk on the city medieval walls, pedestrian-friendly, liberally scattered with tiny playgrounds and quiet squares, beautiful views from of the Old Town from a few pedestrian bridges that cross the river; it’s clean, charming, and sedate. And not so crowded as Barcelona Old Town.

Nuestra casa esta situada en el Barri Vell de Girona, el famoso centro histórico de la ciudad.
Calles peatonales y tranquilas, llenas de historia. Situada a 2 minutos de La Catedral, Los Baños árabes, la muralla y los jardines De los Alemanes o el barrio judio El Call.
La casa conserva los muros y techos originales y por dentro ha sido totalmente remodelada respetando los materiales originales.
Tiene 2 baños, 2 habitaciones dobles y una buhardilla donde pueden dormir 2 personas.
Tiene muchisima luz natural gracias a las claraboyas del techo y a la gran terraza donde se puede desayunar o comer con vistas a la ciudad.
