In the absolute centre of Stockholm-- Venice of the North-- I have a charming 2 room flat, late 19th cent building with heigh celings, lots of light, all amenities, light Swedish-style furniture, quiet even though it is so central, as the windows open towards the back yard.... huge view of roof tops and church towers from bed room window...everything is walking distance, T-train very close, fits single or a couple...one  not so broad double bed.... does not suit children

Come and stay in our amazing lake view apartment with direct access to swimming, parks, restaurants and playgrounds!  Enjoy the sunset over water from the wonderful balcony and finish the day with a swim a few steps from the house!  This apartment offers a unique possibility to enjoy Stockholm and is the perfect spot for anyone travelling to our beautiful city!

We are also able to offer you our vacation home in Adelsö, which is a modern villa by lake Mälaren. Historic surroundings, scenic countryside views and only a short boat trip to Birka - Sweden's first capital founded by vikings. 

Up to you how you wish to combine these two homes during your trip! 

Amazing, spacious, lake-view apartment

I am hoping to swap by beautiful apartment in central Stockholm Sweden (5 minute walk from the central train station and 5 minute walk from City Hall) in exchange for a place for skiing in either the Alps or Tyrenees, or Tyrol.  

My place:
- Central Stockholm apartment, 46 sqm and carefully decorated by myself 
- 1 large bedroom with double bed, 3 couches including 1 pull out
- Balcony, walking distance to everything
- looking for:

Around 5 - 7 days (including a weekend) in either January or February  swaps within close proximity (no car) of a ski resort in either the Alps or Tyrenees, or Tyrol.  Quite flexible with dates! 

And we do not need to do a direct swap, I can stay with friends while you are at my place if you prefer to come any other time of year instead of January or February.  

Central Stockholm apartment, 46 sqm 

Family friendly part of Stockholm and close to the City. This is a small, cozy 2 bedroom apartment with balcony facing a green park and swimming opportunities close by. Great for families or couples looking for a calm gem in Stockholm. 
Restaurants by the sea and great communications with subway to central Stockholm within 5 minutes walk.  Play grounds for kids and two swimming pools for toddlers (free) within few minutes walk. There are several restaurants, cafés and bars nearby and the area provide supermarkets and everything you need for a pleasant stay.

Please notice: NO elevator. You need to walk 2 floors up.

The kitchen has a gas stove and gas oven.

Bedrooms: One bedroom with 160 cm bed and the other bedroom has a 120 cm bed, suitable for one person or two kids sharing the bed. 
The sofa in the living room is suitable for one person to sleep.

You can walk all the way by the water around 40 minutes to reach "down town"/ Central station.  You´ll walk by the canal "Karlbergskanalen" and watch boats passing by.

Subway takes around 7 minutes to down town.
Great communications by subway, bus or taxi (Taxi is around 10 euro to "down town" )
Parking spots on the street - always available except Wednesdays 9-15 when they clean the street. You pay for parking in the machine on the street or with a downloaded app.

We have two bicycles for adults, one with child seat. You can borrow them and helmet for kids, just tell us in advance. Stockholm is great for walking and bycykling.

Cosy flat with park view close to city and sea

This is a 36 m2  Studio, very comfortable and ideal to explore the city of Stockholm. It is a cozy Studio with all the necessities. Very near public transportation, a shopping center, restaurants and just some stations to the very center of the city where all the tourist attractions are.
The studio is an open space with full kitchen, dishwasher,  fridge and freezer, with 2 very big beds 105 cm width each X 210 cm length.  The small bathroom has floor heating and towel heater. The balcony  has a sitting group. 


Sweden, Stockholm, Cozy apartment in the center

My flat is located by the seafront, the bedroom offers the most spectacular view overlooking parts of the Lake Mälaren. It is newly renovated with a fully fitted kitchen and an open space living room/kitchen area. Decorated elements include handpicked furniture and wall art. The room that probably stands out the most is the bathroom – wood covered and relatively massive in size, it holds both a deep-seated bathtub and a gigantic mirror. 

The house has access to a rooftop garden and a lot of other amenities. 

The flat’s location on the Reimersholme island is not easily described to someone who hasn’t yet been. Linked to the Södermalm island by a small bridge only, it is secluded from all things stressful in life; cars, noise pollution, electric scooters, retail shops and food chains. It is tranquil and easy-going; some would even say it has a “small town vibe”. People come to swim at one of its many bays in the summer. People come to stroll, or to jog around the island (approx. 1,6km). People come to visit the restaurant/natural wine bar/jazz club ‘Reimers hotel’ – the only eatery on the mostly residential “holme” (islet in Swedish). Though the island itself is rather quiet, it is located literally a minute or two from its vibrant area cousin, Hornstull. In Hornstull, there are plenty of bars and restaurants, independent shops and hang around areas. Restaurants I’d recommend include Barbro, Tjoget and Lasse i parken. For walks and wanders in nature; Tantolunden and Långholmen (a long narrow island mostly consisting of park areas with winding gravel roads, allotment gardens, lush groves and beach baths). Feel free to get in touch for any other recommendations in the area or around Stockholm. Happy to offer family- couple or single friendly tips! 

Fully renovated apartment in beautiful Reimersholme 

This stylish and spacious family home is heaven to us. Calm interiors with high ceilings and lots of space for a family or friends. This is our carefully created and curated home - the perfect place to retire to after a day discovering all that Stockholm have to offer. Walking distance to Old Town, easy communications, friendly neighbors. What more can you ask for? 

Spacious and stylish family home in the city

Our gorgeous and beloved home is a three-storey modern, open plan  villa, 150 sqm, built on a pontoon in Sweden’s third biggest lake ”Mälaren” and we are placed in a marina. 

You can walk to  Stockholm Central Station in 20 minutes or cycle in 10 minutes or take the subway in  6 minutes  (plus walk to subway station 10 minutes). So you have the whole of central Stockholm at very easy and quick access and you can also enjoy your  breakfeast looking at the boats or kayaks going by, take a cooling morning dip from your own ladder on lower deck  or sit on upper deck in the evening with a drink and if the sunset is a glorious one....you will be sitting first row.

If you have small kids that can’t swim or if you are badly sea-sick, maybe this is not the place for you. We don’t move a lot though except in very rough weather....smiling....but for everyone else that wants the combination of a ”luxurious city holiday AND a bathing holiday” in Stockholm our home is  a perfect choice! We have 2 bedrooms (the third was remodelled to a basic mini gym with a few weights etc, when our eldest moved away from home (master bedroom with a queen-bed and bedroom 2 with  two bunk-like beds, 90 cm where one of them has memory foam), three bathrooms, all the kitchen and cleaning  facilities, an ice machine to chill your evening drink and a total of 4 different big decks to enjoy the views. We can also lend you bikes and maybe swap cars (if you want).  There is an outdoor grill if you want to stay at home for dinner. 

We joined this site In June 2019  and so far we have concluded 3 wonderful swaps  and we absolutely love this concept of mutual trust and respect!  We are both of us tidy and careful with our home....and it goes without saying that we would  treat your home  in the very same fashion.  We only do classic swaps.

Totally renovated designed apartment downtown right by the city hall with water view by one of the two most attractive addresses in Stockholm Light, airy and welcoming, 500 meters from the only beach downtown (!) where you can swim or skate and walking distance to everything in town! 120 kvm, 4 rooms, 4 beds and 2 bedsofas... Renovation was completed fall 2020. You can borrow our bicycles and we can trade cars if you like. 
We do not have to exchange simultanously.

We have a familily friendly architects apartment, stylish yet homely and relaxed with large windows and view toward the oldest parts of Södermalm. Situated in one of the most popular areas in central Stockholm.  Sunny balcony facing a green quiet area without cars. Sleeps four grown-ups comfortably or a family with three children.  Also suitable for two couples.

We have many books, LP:s, musical instruments, board games, Netflicks, great sound system and Play Station. No time to get bored at home.

We live at a very quiet cul de sac and the balcony faces south where there is a green calm area with many trees and no cars. Just  round the corner it gets very busy.. Here you find popular restaurants, cafés, shops, culture and night life. Also many ecofriendly shops and eateries. Nearby is the popular Mariatorget with cafés, shops, restaurants and much more. If you are looking for the high street shops Götgatan is 10-15 minutes walk from our home. If you walk the other way, leaving the busier parts of Södermalm, ten to fifteen minutes walk there are several different large green areas were you can walk, run and swim in the summer. Here you also find our local cinema. The opera house Folkoperan is just round the corner and if you want to learn how to do pottery a new place just opened where you can drop in. Otherwise there a several uniquie potteries and galleries in the area. 

Stockholms old town is also within walking distance. In other words this is a great spot to experience Stockholm.
