Places to visit in Montmartre
For an unrivalled view of the Paris skyline, head up the hill to Basilica Sacre-Coeur and have the obligatory photo on its famous white steps. On the way back down, there's a multitude of typical cobbled Parisian-style lanes to take a wonder through, full of small but fully-packed shops to satisfy all shoppers.
Music-lovers should stop off in Le Rideau de Feur to top up on current and vintage vinyl. Just around the corner is Boulangerie Raphaëlle with delicious home-made sandwiches available daily.
- Charles de Gaulle airport, 25 mins
- Place de la Bastille, 30 mins

Cycle to Saint Germain des Près and visit Le Louvres and Musée d'Orsay. Then move along the Seine to the Pont des Arts and enjoy a well-deserved glass of wine on the river.
Take a break in the Renoir Gardens surrounding the Montmarte museum. The museum itself holds a permanent collection of French artwork.
Go up to the 7th floor of the Terrass Hotel in Montmartre to find their terrace bar. Here you’ll get views of Paris to rival those from the Basilica.
