After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Prenzlauer Berg became the neighbourhood for the artsy, bohemian youth of Berlin. However, a decade on they have grown up and had children of their own. Now the area is a laidback and family orientated, labelled by locals as 'Pregnant Hill' due to the high birth rates. Filled with restaurants, artsy boutiques and cafes- the area is certainly popular with tourists.

Coffee and gastronomy lovers listen up- the area is filled with quaint cafes and top restaurants. Every weekend the Mauerpark hosts a hugely popular flea market and outdoor karaoke, ensuring entertainment for all. Shopaholics need not be disappointed either, Prenzlauer Berg is known for its independent quirky boutiques and trinket stores, so you are guaranteed to find a hidden treasure not available on the high street.
